In 1996 I started my first cottage industry business. I was a Rainbow Fairy attending children’s parties. It was a lot of fun & allowed me to be a Mum during the week & a fairy on the weekends. This was a great introduction to the world of small business.
In 2002 I was ready to take on a bigger challenge. The world was changing & I noticed a lack of computer classes for young children. I wanted to compliment & be involved in this progressive time by giving children access to computers in a structured, nurturing and educational format.
After much research in the area, talking to parents, kindergarten teachers, Community & child care centres, computer experts, countless hours online and studying Small Business. I was finally ready.
Computers in Motion was born.
2003 was launch year. Looking back I can’t believe I had the confidence to do it and how far I have come. My printed material and marketing was very basic, but my classes were always what I promised. Fun, stimulating, educational & supportive.
Since beginning I have seen many changes in the industry. I have obtained my Diploma in Children’s Services and ensure I stay current with educational & industry changes. I am so lucky to be in this field. It is such a great feeling every time I come to a centre and the children show such enthusiasm & excitement.
